Fleet Operations Engineer (Temporary - 16 weeks)

The Fleet Operations Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of robotic units deployed at customer locations. This role requires electromechanical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and upgrades of robotic hardware both remotely and physically at customer sites.  It also requires software and communication skills to remotely monitor, troubleshoot, and validate changes to the systems.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electromechanical systems, software systems,  and experience working with robotics in various environments.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer stores and perform physical robot hardware maintenance, repairs, and upgrades / retrofits on robots
  • Support via phone and remote login to robots of 3rd party technicians performing work on robots
  • Alert escalation support of robot issues via remote login to robots
  • Contact customer stores to request help addressing issues with robots
  • Weekend support as needed
  • Regional travel up to 5 hours one way with overnight stays as needed


Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years assembly or repair of complex electromechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting video, networking, and computer systems
  • Power user of web based live control tools
  • Linux OS command line interface and shell scripting
  • Strong English oral and written communication tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively using collaborative messaging tools

  • Customer Focus: Dedication to delivering high-quality service, maintaining professionalism in customer interactions, and upholding the company's reputation for reliability
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of lifting equipment, bending, and performing repairs in various physical environments


$35 - $40 an hour
Hourly pay is dependent on experience and location. Overtime eligible. This temporary employment position will not be eligible for the benefits.
