The Engineering function is responsible for all engineering activities within a business to ensure all objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards, and procedures in all engineering fields. This person will help lead the design, development and implementation of new materials and processes in support of RF component product manufacturing. Liaison between team in Stuart Florida engineering office and manufacturing facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica through regular travel including training and deployment of best practices. Support new product introduction by providing material and process knowledge throughout the development process. Aid in the transfer of new products and technology to the operations team, through training and implementation. Develop solutions using robust quality standards and in a manner consistent with business strategy and processes.
Be the subject matter expert for materials and processes relating to key manufacturing areas including sputtering, electroplating and screen printing. Participate in the development of product and process technology roadmaps, in support of cross-functional stakeholders Document process methodology as required and create training materials required for transfer to operations. Support cross functional design reviews including requirements definition, manufacturability assessments, and application of materials. Propose enhancements to new and existing product designs to optimize manufacturability. Coordinate with on-site manufacturing and quality engineers to facilitate initial build and prototyping of products developed by the design team. Interface with suppliers to evaluate new materials and equipment as required. Ability to perform root cause analyses utilizing established problem-solving tools and methodologies. Proactively identify project risks and mitigation plans to accelerate the development cycle and ensure delivery commitments are met. Provide hands-on technical support to organizational stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing and Sales Participate in and contribute to team training, development, mentoring, on-boarding and audits

PMP Certification is a plus
Bachelor's Degree – Engineering
Significant relevant experience in lieu of degree considered
Prior experience leading a team required.
Master’s Degree a Plus
Must have a mature understanding of Electronic Component Manufacturing including Thick and Thin Film technology with key processes such as screen printing, sputtering and plating. Familiarity with material characterization equipment such as: XRF, X-Ray, Profilometer, Viscometers and RGA. Able to clearly communicate and discuss technical concepts in English and Spanish across multiple levels of the organization. Familiarity with military and industry standards and other relevant specification. Proficiency with CAD including 3D solid modeling. AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred. Ability to analyze complex problems using data-driven approach and define solutions. Knowledge of RF, digital, fiber optic, and power interconnects a plus.
Design authority for new and existing materials and processes. Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Works on problems of diverse scope across multiple sites where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
