NinjaTrader is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our growing Technology team! Reporting to our Engineering Director, our Engineering Manager will have proven experience leading an engineering team with a sharp focus on their team's application quality, uptime and resilience. The ideal candidate will help their team write code, develop automated unit tests and deploy software onto production systems.

In this role, you will:

• Manage a team of 4 – 8 software engineers
• Participate in designing and implementing real time applications that handle large amounts of data
• Partner with Product Managers to align with priorities and manage backlogs
• Manage standups and agile ceremonies with the team
• Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
• Own the operations and health of the owned services and step in to drive incidents to resolution
• Build and drive an engineering excellence culture

Job Requirements:

• BA or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 2+ years of leading software engineering teams
• Proficiency in building scalable services and distributed systems in Java or similar object-oriented languages
• Worked with Kubernetes and cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform
• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic, exceptional accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Trading industry or fintech knowledge is a plus

Base Compensation: Up to $160,000 depending on experience
