Empower Wilton, Maine Students: Special Education Teacher (Elementary & Middle School) - Soliant EducationAre you a passionate educator dedicated to helping students with special needs thrive?Soliant Education is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in the Wilton, Maine area. These full-time, on-site positions offer the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs in either an elementary or middle school setting.Details:• Two positions available:• Elementary Resource Teacher: Support students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.• Middle School Resource Teacher: Support students in grades 6th through 8th grade.• Both positions collaborate with general education teachers to provide specialized instruction and support within the general education classroom setting (resource model).What You'll Do:• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers to create a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and IEP goals, focusing on the specific needs of students in either elementary or middle school.• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and differentiated learning techniques to meet the individual needs of each student.• Provide academic and social-emotional support tailored to the developmental level of your assigned grade band (elementary or middle school).• Monitor student progress, collect data, and report on student achievement.• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Qualifications:• Maine State Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for licensure (with a focus on elementary or middle school, depending on the position).• Experience working with students with special needs in a resource classroom setting is preferred.• Strong knowledge of special education curriculum, assessment practices, and instructional methodologies tailored to your assigned grade band (elementary or middle school).• Ability to differentiate instruction, create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and effectively manage a classroom environment conducive to the assigned grade level.• Understanding of the unique social and emotional needs of students in your assigned grade band (elementary or middle school).• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.• Passion for helping students with special needs reach their full potential.Benefits:• Competitive salary and benefits package (details available upon request).• The opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students with special needs.• Supportive and collaborative work environment.• Professional development opportunities.Start Date:ASAP interview for the 2024-2025 school year.To Apply:Please specify in your resume and cover letter which position you are applying for (Elementary or Middle School).
