Product Designer (UX/UI)
Solink is a different kind of data-analytics software company. We’ve successfully made video security a source of powerful insight for business owners of franchise and retail chains. We focus on security applications that combat fraud proactively and make it easier for owners to track down problems. Today we focus on loss prevention and in the future, we see every department using video to make data-driven decisions: marketing, operations, even HR.
A job at Solink means working with an amazing team and tackling one of the biggest data problems out there. We are venture-backed and focus on continuous execution to delight our customers. We have a creative and collaborative work environment, and all of our employees have meaningful equity in the company.
A bit about the role…
As a Product Designer (UX/UI) at Solink, you’ll bring every tool in your design toolkit to elevate our product. Each day brings something new: you might be conducting user research to understand our customers' needs, sketching concepts to align the team, creating wireframes to map out user flows, building interactive prototypes, or refining high-fidelity mockups. You will play a key role in maintaining a scalable design system at Solink and contribute to the evolution of our client applications across both web and mobile platforms. Working closely with Product Managers, Customer Success Managers, and our front-end development team, you’ll take projects from concept to completion, directly impacting our customers' experience and the future of the Solink platform.
WHO YOU ARE:
You have 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for software products, ideally in a SaaS B2B environment.
You hold a BA in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field—or have equivalent experience.
You’re experienced in research methods such as usability testing, customer interviews, and focus groups.
You excel at concept creation, sketching, wireframing, and user flow development, with a strong understanding of interaction architecture that enables you to turn ideas into polished, effective designs.
You communicate ideas clearly and have strong written and verbal presentation skills in English.
You’re proficient in design tools, especially Figma.
You have a track record of success in cross-functional teams.
You apply best practices in responsive UX design, ensuring consistency across web and mobile platforms.
You’re driven, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality work.
You’re open to feedback and skilled at turning it into actionable improvements.
You have a proven ability to execute on well-defined requirements, delivering thoughtful, high-quality designs.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
Be eligible to work in Canada;
Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Customer Success Managers, and our Front-End Development team to design, build, and deliver solutions that meet user needs.
Play a key role in building and maintaining a scalable design system that grows with the team and product over time.
Sketch, prototype, and provide design options, clearly articulating UI/UX tradeoffs and iterating based on feedback.
Build wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished, high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile applications.
Present and lead design reviews, delivering project insights to team members and stakeholders, and advising on how design choices can drive business results.
Implement strategies to standardize design patterns across the platform, helping to speed up development and create a cohesive user experience.
Communicate effectively and transparently with all stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged in the design process.
Research and shape the overall user experience for new projects, as well as support improvements to current products by conducting user testing, creating wireframes and UI concepts, field research, and analyzing usage data to uncover actionable insights.
