Software Engineer (Space Operations) - job 1 of 3

SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. They are seeking a Software Engineer to build mission-critical applications for space operations and human space missions.

Skills

Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Front-end and back-end frameworks (LitElement, React, Angular, Flask, Django, FastAPI)
Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
HTTP requests, API structures, HTTP authentication
Cognitive engineering and user experience design principles

Responsibilities

Craft aesthetically and functionally flawless operator experiences
Build and maintain primary tools and real-time interfaces for spacecraft operations
Deliver expert-level code for applications in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Python
Identify automation opportunities to simplify mission execution
Take ownership of application life cycles from documentation to continuous improvement

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline
