Software Engineering Manager

This position is remote.
  • This position will be remote in the country of India.


How you will achieve success:
  • Responsible for building empowered teams with the passion and engagement to drive towards business outcomes and act as a servant leader to ensure engineers have the insights, tools, and support to execute effectively.
  • We are a fully remote department, as an engineering manager you are responsible for ensuring the team is engaged and present while at work.
  • Visualize teams out of the office to ensure organization transparency and ownership of LTR metrics and ensure engineers understand the expectations as well as the why behind them. Ceremony facilitation ownership for demos, daily standups, and retros. 
  • Accountability for team ownership of operational surface area, team alerting, and root-cause analysis. Embody the Science &Technology Principles and use them to guide decisions. Responsible for performance management of your team and supporting their career development. 
  • You create an environment of knowledge sharing and growth, placing a high priority on leading and developing others through coaching, feedback, and stretch opportunities.


What experiences will help you in this role:
  • 10+ years experience in an engineering or product role, building solutions from the ground up that support major business functions. Deep understanding of Agile and Lean principles and measures. Experience being immersed in engineering, product, and design functions, understanding the various processes.
  • Negotiation skills necessary for the management of external vendors, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire colleagues.
  • Feedback and Mentoring: Mentors Software Engineer IIs to support growth. Provides Manager Feedback to Improve team 
  • Technical Debt Management: Understands areas of technical debt in systems and infrastructure. Quality Standards: Responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards. Interviewing: Leads and participates in technical interviews. 
  • Planning and Change Management: Contributes to planning and change management activities involving technical infrastructure and process improvements.  
  • Experience in Python Data learning Design, Web Scraping, AWS S3 and Blue Database Design, Architecture Design, and has experience being a good principal engineering mentor.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or Ruby, R, AWS Database Design, JSON, HTML & CSS, Web Scrape Design, and Scrum process.


This is a remote position and requires candidates to have an available work-from-home setup

Desktop/Laptop system requirements:

- 4th generation or higher, at least Intel i3 or equivalent processor;

- at least 4GB RAM;

- Windows 10 and above or MAC OSX operating system 

- You are required to provide your own dual monitors

A strong and stable internet connection (A DSL, cable or fiber wired internet service with 10 Mbps plan or higher for primary connection)

PC Headset

A high-definition (HD) external or integrated webcam with at least 720p resolution.
