Direct Procurement is responsible for sourcing of NPK, macronutrientes, micronutrientes, raw materials, energy, gas and goods necessary for the production process. These purchases are generally done in large quantities and enables Yara to benefit from its scale towards suppliers, best practices sharing and consolidating spends globally with its Business Partners.
Our ambition is to further develop our role as a strategic business partner to bring value to Yara globally. We seek the most competitive conditions in the market and promote ideal solutions for the future through innovation, sustainability and strategic partnerships with our suppliers. This will allow us to promote substantial impact actions for a more sustainable Yara.

• Lead and oversee the team of buyers, ensuring procurement activities are executed with excellence.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, conduct commercial negotiations, and evaluate supplier performance.
• Collaborate with management to develop purchasing strategies aligned with the company's goals and needs.
• Analyze the market and identify opportunities to optimize purchasing processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement KPI control, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
• Ensure adherence to delivery deadlines and the quality of purchased products and services.
• Conduct cost and budget analyses, identifying areas for savings and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with applicable regulations and laws.
• Promote ethical and sustainable business practices, including considering social and environmental responsibility criteria in supplier selection.
• Empower, motivate, and guide the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Support the professional development of team members through constructive feedback and training opportunities.

Perfil | Formação e conhecimentos

• Collaborative mindset, leadership, curiosity, sense of ownership and respect for differences;
• Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of procurement strategies, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of chemical products and industry
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to make strategic decisions and effectively solve problems.
• Knowledge of purchasing management systems and data analysis tools is desirable.
• Advanced written and spoken English;
