Your primary role is working towards the growth and retention of existing profitable Commercial Banking relationships here at Byline Bank, as well as the acquisition of new clients.

As a Sr Commercial Relationship Officer, you would carry heavy new business development goals and is expected to work independently. You will seek opportunities to cross sell into every relationship and anticipate the future needs of the client.

You should have proven client relationship skills as well as product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills.

Job Requirements:
As a Byline Bank Commercial Relationship Officer, your primary role as an "individual contributor" will be to grow and retain profitable relationships within our targeted sales space.

You will not be responsible for managing less experienced staff, but rather focusing on generating revenues. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of value added solutions to our clients and prospects that will help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship.

You will develop a weekly sales plan prioritizing most promising revenue generating sales opportunities and be responsible for cultivating referral sources, institutionalization of relationships and aggressive calling (bankers should average 5-10 in person calls and at least 10 contacts via phone, mail or e-mail to clients and prospects per week).

You will also seek opportunities to cross sell into every relationship and anticipate the future needs of the client.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional client service in a bank setting.
  • 10+ years of Commercial Lending experience working with middle market C&I clients.
  • Formal credit training, including significant exposure to underwriting C&I deals.
  • Commercial relationship management experience including the ability to communicate and problem-solve effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Track record calling on commercial prospects to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities with middle market C&I clients.
  • 4-year degree in business or related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, general Business, etc.).
  • Possesses strong creative solution and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The base salary range for this position is $118,200 to $201,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
