Sr. Microsoft Systems Administrator

What we need:

We are adding a Sr. Systems Administrator to our team in Muscatine, Iowa! This is a hybrid position that will require weekly onsite presence at our offices in Muscatine, IA.

In this position, you will administer and support Office 365, Azure, Teams, and Exchange policies while maintaining a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring. You will work with other team members, vendors, and business partners to ensure the overall health, stability and accessibility of our MS cloud environment. This position also serves as a Citrix administrator, providing tier II Citrix XenDesktop (VDi) environment support including configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in both Citrix PVS and Windows Server environment.

What you'll do:

  • Our Citrix Administrator supports all aspects of Citrix design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades, and maintenance of all production Citrix systems.
    • Supports applications, hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
    • Performs daily maintenance and troubleshooting of the servers in Citrix.
    • Serves as administrator on Citrix PVS for server maintenance (ongoing task), upgrades (ongoing task), and image maintenance/updates/upgrades (ongoing task).
  • Our Exchange Administrator provides on-call support as required to ensure availability of mission critical services such as authentication, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and access to network resources.
    • Administers large deployments of Exchange environments and messaging systems, including MS Active Sync (handheld devices), Active Directory, IIS, Spam/Anti-virus filtering, and Clustering.
    • Configuration, support and administration of Exchange 2010/2013, Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012 Datacenter, SQL 2008/2012, Veeam Backup, and Microsoft SharePoint technologies
    • Perform on-site technical support for Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010
    • Monitor Microsoft server performance, run routine server diagnostic tests, perform and monitor system backups, and perform cluster failovers
    • Monitor Exchange message queues, resolve non-deliveries, and perform message tracking and record status/findings in daily operations log
    • Create user accounts and mailboxes
    • Perform mailbox moves and restores
  • Our System Administrator also builds, maintains, administers, documents, and ensures the health of all Microsoft CloudServices in our environment.
    • Supports and coordinates resolution of MS cloud-based system issues between the assigned application support personnel and the Information Technology department.
    • Manages external vendors that provide technical support.
    • Communicates with end-users to understand their needs. Proceeds with appropriate actions that include requirement documentation, design, and project management.
    • Packages and deploys applications.
    • Creates support documentation and provides training to lower tiers of support to provide more cost-effective troubleshooting and administration services.
    • Assists in the development and upkeep of our O365 environment, subsystems and maintenances documentation.
    • Teams and OneDrive Administrations, responsible for all configuration and support of Teams and OneDrive functionality to support the end user community.

What you have:

  • A bachelor’s or Associate Degree in an Information Technology program
  • One or more of the following certifications preferred:
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
    • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA)
    • Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA)
    • Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE)
    • ITIL
    • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Must have 3+ years in O365 management, development and/or design
  • Must be familiar with PowerShell scripting, MS O365 administration, Manage Engine, O365 security, MS tenant structures and networking cloud services
  • Proficient in Microsoft InTune software administration software packaging.
  • Experience in enterprise administration is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience in provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the system hardware and software, and related infrastructure is required
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure technologies and products, including Azure SQL, Azure Cloud Data Warehouse, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Office 365, and SharePoint Experience supporting Linux, iOS, and Android preferred
  • Experience using an MDM is preferred
  • Understanding and practical experience with ITIL Principles and processes preferred
  • Experience with PowerShell and VBScript preferred

    • Microsoft 365 services suite, identity and security foundation, adoption of services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, etc.)
    • Migration from and integration with on-premises and applications focused in the related Microsoft on-premises components
