The Role

Hi. We need help make talk better. CompanyCam is seeking a copywriter to join our Brand + Creative Services Team. In this role, you'll be the voice of CompanyCam, and help develop and standardize how we sound on our website, print materials, emails, and videos. The copywriter will work closely with our design, video and web team members to write and edit copy for each medium.

If you’re territorial of your work, like working all alone with zero touch-points, and just kind of a jerk, sorry—this job isn’t for you. We want copywriters that are highly creative and energized by bringing life to the projects they’re working on. Bringing additive and positive energy to the drawing board is a must. While CompanyCam has grown quickly, we’re still in start-up mode which means you’ll likely wear many hats. If you’re comfortable jumping in, offering insights, and taking ownership beyond your day to day duties, you’ll fit in just fine here.

This role is part of the Brand Leadership Team, and you'll be expected to contribute to high-level growth conversations in regards to the team structure, strategy, and culture. Our team values ownership, initiative, and creative thinking and we’re excited to add another strategic mind and strong leader to the mix.

Must-Haves

• Seriously strong writing & editing skills.
• Prior experience with copywriting or content development for print, ****video and/or web
• Comfortable working cross-departmentally and collaboratively.
• Creative, solutions-focused problem solver.
• Ability to inject humor into voice - journalistic writing style, not corporate-speak-y. 
• Experience owning the voice of the brand
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Shared values, AKA a willingness to show up, grow up, and do good.
• Setting goals for content teams
• A current, permanent U.S. residence. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time even if you’re willing to work U.S. hours.

• SEO chops are a huge plus
• Experience in management, hiring, and/or leading teams.
• Experience setting OKRs and/or Management By Outcomes
• Experience with Asana (our project management software).
• Experience with Google Analytics.
