Position Summary:
The Office of Admissions at Arkansas State University is seeking applications for a regionally based Recruiter who will assist with Undergraduate Recruitment as a key member of the University’s Recruitment Team. The Recruiter will assist in the growth of Arkansas State University’s recruitment territory, with a primary focus on our St. Louis and Illinois territories, to work with students from that area who show interest in A-State
This individual is expected to manage a recruitment territory, assist in developing and executing a recruitment strategy specific to this unique population of students, and assist efforts to yield an incoming class of Arkansas State University students each year. The position is required to live within a 60-mile radius of St. Louis and will report to the Director of National Recruitment
Duties & Responsibilities:
Actively support the university’s recruitment efforts for new undergraduate students in territory
Communicate effectively and professionally with prospective students, their families, high school counselors, Office of Admissions, and other on-campus partners via email, phone, and in-person methods
Participate in recruitment events that align with the territory’s needs – which may involve travel or evening/weekend hours to high schools, regional college fairs, etc.
Participate in training and recruitment events on-campus, as needed
Build and maintains pipeline of students from regional territories, building positive brand recognition and enhancing Arkansas State’s recruitment efforts
Use data and analytics to drive day-to-day recruitment strategy and decision making
Report to Admissions leadership on territory updates and growth
Function as a brand ambassador for Arkansas State University, including practicing superior customer service, a positive attitude, and an excitement about the University

Preference to those who live in the targeted area will be given (near St. Louis MO)
This position has been identified as a telecommuting position. The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined and approved work location. Individuals filling this role must have dedicated work space that provides privacy and security related to the work being performed. Additionally, individuals must have secure internet access with appropriate upload/download capabilities to perform the duties associated with the position. Individuals in this position will be required to review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Telecommuting Agreement for A-State
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in college admissions
Previous experience with student recruitment in a higher education environment
Previous experience with Student Information Systems and CRM (client relations management) applications to be used for forecasting, goal setting, and communications
Possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to drive
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Bachelor’s Degree
