Staff Accountant

Salary: $50,000-$70,000
Level: Entry

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, identify trends and variances
• Review and provide in-depth analysis on project revenues, costs, budget and variances
• Conduct monthly financial reviews with management
• Responsible for month-end financial close process
• Reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts
• Process/review various journal entries, including deferred rent, depreciation/amortization, accruals, and etc.
• Compile consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statement
• Assist in various audits including financial, overhead, and project audits
• Compile financial report and ad hoc reports as needed
• Improve and enhance processes and internal controls

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; required
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experiences in public and/or private industry; required
• Experience in both GL and project accounting; required
• A&E industry experience is preferred
• Audit experience is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Deep familiarity with accounting process and procedure, and internal controls
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) overhead (preferred but not required)
• CPA is a plus
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
