Oracle ERP Consultant - Procurement

The ERP Consultant – Procurement will be responsible for analyzing proposed business and technical solutions in response to customer requirements, whether related to process improvements or new system functionality specific to purchasing, procurement contracts, sourcing, supplier portal, and inventory management modules of Oracle Cloud ERP. The Consultant will translate and create consistency between functional concepts and technical concepts to the benefit of the customer and the team. This position is required to ensure the Oracle Cloud Project will be successfully implemented, by supporting fully allocated Procurement Team resources.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities specified below are representative of the range of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position and are not intended to be an inclusive list.

  • Assess proposed business and technical solutions for accuracy, feasibility, and capacity to improve business/accounting processes and controls, and/or address known gaps or risks; identify risk and propose alternatives, where applicable
  • Assess proposed solutions and provide recommendations for improvement, where applicable
  • Understand business operations, processes, and functions unique to the client
  • Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions, and provide recommendations to enhance and accelerate the PO, Procurement Contracts, Sourcing, Supplier Portal, and Inventory management solution areas
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Cloud application components, in line with business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Support Oracle Cloud for the above modules for various business groups
  • Work on support tickets and resolve issues

Skills:

  • Effectively communicate and present analysis results to the client in writing and ensuring effective two-way communication
  • Effectively translate complex technical concepts to functional representatives and vice versa
  • ·         In-depth Functional/Technical knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud – PO, Procurement Contracts (Enterprise Contract), Sourcing, Supplier Portal and Inventory Management solution areas  
  • ·         Ability to write moderate to complex scripts using Oracle APIs
  • ·         Ability to work on SQL development programs

Required Qualifications:

  • ·         BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university in Supply Chain Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
  • ·         Minimum of 6 years of supply chain, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, data analytics, information technology, and/or equivalent experience
  • ·         Experience with implementing and continuously improving Oracle Cloud Sourcing, Procurement, Procurement Contracts, Supplier Portal, and Inventory Management solutions required
  • ·         Thorough knowledge of procurement processes including category management, sourcing, contracting, operations, and supplier relationship management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with State and Local Governments like Counties
