Process Engineer

Responsibilities:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation.
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and process simulations to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost-effectiveness.
Utilize process modeling and simulation tools to evaluate alternative scenarios and identify optimal process configurations.
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure adherence to quality standards and implement statistical process control methodologies to monitor and improve product quality.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Participate in cross-functional teams during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
Design and optimize assembly processes for new products, including tooling, fixtures, and workstations.
Participate in new product development projects to ensure that manufacturing processes are designed for optimal performance and scalability.
Develop and validate new manufacturing processes, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and validation protocols.
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, and other continuous improvement activities to drive operational excellence.
Implement lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, value stream mapping, and kanban, to eliminate waste and improve workflow efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee involvement, providing training, and recognizing contributions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a relevant industry, with demonstrable project or work instruction.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and fabrication.
Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Additional experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of process optimization methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Theory of Constraints.
Experience with process modeling and simulation software.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to manufacturing processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines.
