Product Manager

About Stash:

There have always been platforms, like app stores and consoles, getting in the middle of gamers and game developers (did you know they take 30% commissions on each in-app purchase?). Stash sees a future in which developers can be their own platforms for the first time by delivering excellent direct-to-consumer experiences. We offer game developers a suite of tools that enable them to directly sell to and engage with their players, including web shops, custom game launchers, and payment processing. That way, games can finally interact with their players on their own terms. Founded by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, Zynga executive Robin Chan, and Googler engineer Dan Borstelmann, building great game experiences and successful companies is in our DNA.

Role Overview:

You will work alongside our Head of Product to create and execute on a product strategy that follows both our customers’ needs and our own intuitions about what we need to build for our market.  You will also supervise all stages of the product development process to ensure all steps of building and releasing products to customers are moving as efficiently and effectively as possible.  You are the glue between sales, product, and engineering.  Your role as a PM at Stash will be to hold the design and engineering teams accountable for their roadmaps while also protecting them from overzealous injects coming from outside of the product development team.  You will need to have a keen eye for product excellence to make sure that all the products we build are up to the highest possible quality bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute upon product roadmap

  • Ensure that product deadlines are met, software development stages are completed on time, and updates are communicated clearly across all teams and customers

  • Analyze and report customer needs and feedback

  • Hold both design and engineering accountable for their roadmaps

  • Ensure that all quality, usability, and reliability standards are met

  • Upholding product excellence is the most important aspect of this role alongside strong communication and facilitation skills

  • Conduct product and general market research to better gauge how the market and customers will respond to the product

  • Analyze better ways to create and execute upon our product, from actual applications to documentation

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience executing on product roadmaps in conjunction with engineers. Technical background yourself not required but strongly encouraged

  • Preferably experience at a startup and in the gaming industry

  • Proven track record in successfully working with technology products and applications

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and personality types
