Wolters Kluwer Product Management Director - Ovid Health Technology (M.D.) Honolulu, Hawaii Apply NowLOCATION : U.S. office locations (Hybrid 8 days per month); see locations on the postingThe full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.OVERVIEWYou will formulate innovative product strategy using GenAI and LLM, implement the new technology applications to Ovid, and support growth of Ovid online business and Lippincott Journal Publishing.You will drive innovation and new product development to capture GenAI enabled market opportunities in medical research and sustain Ovid top line growth and margin expansion, enhance the Ovid brand, manage intellectual property from development, and foster targeted business and technology partnerships.You will represent Ovid and communicate its applications of GenAI and LLM in industry events, conferences, and other marketing channels.This is an individual contributor role reporting into the VP Product Medical Research for OVID.DUTIES• Function as a thought leader and a product evangelist both internally and externally communicating vision, product positioning, and Ovid brand.• Support GM and VP of Product Management as part of business strategy development, team culture creation, market problem-solving, and other group-wide activities as needed in adoption of transformational GenAI technology.• Manage a process of rapid experiments with new technology and Ovid and LWW content to identify and determine new product concepts and improvements to the Ovid platform.• As part of Lean development, help conduct customer research, contextual inquiry, market segmentation, market research, and strategic partnerships to develop a deep understanding of both emerging and evolving market needs triggered by GenAI and LLM.• Guide team of product managers and matrixed development resources to turn technological capabilities, market and customer insights, competitive intelligence, and industry dynamics into a rolling platform roadmap with agility to achieve or exceed key business milestones.• Collaborate with leaders in Health Research, WK Health, and the WK technology organizations to establish consistent product management discipline and drive compliance with Lean Development across all involved teams to ensure that product development using GenAI and LLM progresses in accordance with business objective and customer oriented.• Ensure steady process of transfer of advanced technology research (GenAI, LLM & SLM, machine learning, text & data mining) into core product development roadmaps.• Exercise accountability to revenue growth tied to applications of GenAI and LLM to Ovid platform and achieve budgeted annual revenues for Ovid and Lippincott journal publishing.• Provide leadership contribution in the annual WK corporate planning and financial planning, revenue forecasting and market strategies for Health Research.• Participate in all corporate training, company initiatives, and performance planning exercises.• Ensure availability of the right talent in the product management team to deliver product developments.• Ensure product managers are aligned through annual performance goals and regular qualitative check-ins.• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONSDoctor of Medicine (MD) required; other graduate degrees outside of medicine a plusRequired Experience :• Demonstrated track record of success as a medical expert and a product leader in formulating product strategy, development of online products and workflow solutions, and achieving business goals.• Minimum 3 years in medical and clinical practice.• Minimum 5 years in medical and clinical research (published articles in peer-reviewed journals a plus).• Minimum 3 years in technology applications to medical research or clinical practices.Preferred Experience :• Experience in medical and clinical practice, medical and clinical research, and product development using new technologies.• Expertise in creating and implementing product strategies by leveraging new technologies.• Commercial minded thought leader that integrates medical expertise, knowledge of new technologies, and external market insights into product success with a track record of revenue growth.• Opinions on GenAI and LLM and their potential impact on medical and clinical research in the future.• Knowledge of GenAI and LLM, skillful in using them (e.g., GPT-4) in daily work ranging from clinical practice to medical research.• Familiar with established product development processes from concept to post-launch such as Lean Development or SVPG, including working with medical and clinical experts, user panels, and early adopter customers.• Experience in managing and coordinating design and development efforts across different functional groups.
