This is a Compliance Enforcement Investigator 2 position with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, Compliance Enforcement Division located at our Flamingo DMV office in Las Vegas. This is a uniformed patrol investigator position and appointee(s) to this position will be responsible for performing patrol investigation relating to emissions, registration, license, and other violations, and assist other CED operations that require uniformed officer presence. Investigators are responsible for receipt and review of formal complaints.Investigators are required to make determinations regarding possible regulatory violations and criminal activity, conduct routine inspections to detect violations, enforce actions involving verbal or written warnings, issuance of citations and effecting arrests. Compliance Enforcement Investigators are responsible for investigating complaints, conducting interviews and collecting facts in order to facilitate the determination of whether an entity or individual has committed a violation. Preparation of concise written reports of investigative fingers, and recommendations as they relate to the applicable statutes/codes. Compliance Enforcement Investigators are also required to testify at Criminal Court and Administrative Hearings. Under the authority of NRS 239B.010.1(b), the DMV utilizes NRS 205.4605 - 205.810, NRS 293.504, NRS 293.5045, 6 CFR 37.45, 49 CFR 1572.103, and 49 CFR 384.228 as criteria to obtain a FBI fingerprint clearance check on current and prospective employees.
