Staff Database Reliability Engineer
Stord is seeking a Staff DBRE to join the Site Reliability Engineering team, focusing on standardizing and implementing best practices across software teams and databases.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and Redis
- Fluency in SQL, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
- Expertise in automation and monitoring tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with cloud services, preferably Google Cloud or AWS, Azure
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust database solutions for PostgreSQL and Google BigQuery environments
- Identify and implement optimization of databases for optimal performance and cost efficiency
- Develop automation tools to enable product engineering to own database operations
- Manage and scale distributed systems like Kafka and ElasticSearch
- Collaborate with product engineering to integrate best practices in database usage
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
