Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely billing for healthcare services provided, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Review and verify billing information, including assignments of codes and charges, to minimize discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any outstanding payments.
  • Resolve billing issues and discrepancies by working collaboratively with relevant parties.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing or coding, preferably in a remote capacity.
