Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is a critical leader in Operations. They handle the day-to-day business of running construction projects. They are an experienced construction manager whose duties include creating/managing project budgets, SOV’s, billing, change orders, subcontractors, schedules, client relationships, and partnering with Superintendents and Purchasing Agents. The Sr. Project Manager is primarily an office position that works directly with both internal and external clients, and reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Create project budgets based on preconstructions proposal for awarded work
  • Create and manage the project schedule of values and monthly billing
  • Work with Project Engineers to develop and submit RFI’s and Submittals
  • Create and submit change orders and maintain the change order log
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to handle all project needs and remove roadblocks for the crews
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on their projects
  • Buy out and manage subcontractors
  • Perform field walks/inspections as needed
  • Attend client project meetings
  • Coordinate project scheduling with the Superintendents
  • Develop and maintain long-term working relationships with vendors and clients
  • Create and manage monthly project financial reporting
  • Understand the projects requirements and achieve the schedule and quality goals
  • Partner, Communicate, and Plan daily with the project Superintendents
  • Have a good attitude and work well with others
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • At minimum of 4 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in landscaping, construction, or a similar environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English a plus but is not required.
  • Landscape or irrigation experience is a major plus but is not required.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, specs, and contracts.
  • Comfortable in both the office and field environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Enjoy the daily processes of running a construction project.
