Supply Chain Manager
Job Description:

Purpose:
  • Manage a team of 8 Buyers and all Supply Chain Activities for existing and new product launches.
  • Negotiate Third Party Development for new technologies (NDA and legal contracts).
  • Oversee Indirect Spend agreements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to improve the Value Stream in the Supply Chain Network for Quality, On Time Delivery and Costs.
  • Position may include 25% tactical ownership of key critical commodities that support the ROV (remotely operated vehicle) product line – Reference: LARS, Umbilical, PDU, and Topsides
Responsibilities:
  • Strong leadership to develop direct reports on utilization of data and Lean techniques to reduce waste in process, reduce supplier costs, improve lead times and logistics costs.
  • Apply strategic planning, cost, and forecasting analysis to meet organizational goals and reduce risk in a high mix-low volume environment.
  • Improve operational efficiencies and drive accountability by using data driven systems that clearly identifies exceptions and uses formal processes like CAR, MSA/PSA’s, and MRB to eliminate disruption to operations.
  • Develop and implement formal audits for underperforming suppliers as well as a formal assessments for certification and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Strong collaboration with Engineering to establish performance requirements, reliability for procurement and qualification of prototype designs and transition to product release, including IP agreements.
  • Develop and Deploy Lean Principles to drive continuous improvement and optimize the entire Supply Chain Organization.
  • Provide leadership and direction to improve First Article Performance and quality pass rates
  • Key owner in identification and resolution of obsolescence within the supply chain to avoid impact to operations and minimize single source supply chain.
  • Work with OSV vendors (anodization, etc.) for packaging, logistics, quality, process improvements and lead-time reduction to meet business expectations with intent to increase the number of approved vendors and reduce costs.
  • Manage and negotiate software licensing and applications.
You are meant for this job if:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership, understanding of supply chain transactional procurement (ERP systems), financial acumen, negotiation skills, analytics, logistics, strategic sourcing, building effective relationships, and an understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Technical knowledge in additive and subtractive machining, electronics, hydraulics, complex mechanical assemblies and metal secondary ops processes (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written) with the ability to influence and engage in effective problem solving.
  • Experience in Project Management and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information, use of discretion, and business ethics
  • Experience in high mix-low volume environment is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the country, without sponsorship.
Relationship Responsibilities:
  • Current Position manages 8 direct reports + future Supplier Development Engineer
  • Reports to Director of Operations
  • Works frequently with Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Dept, Shipping and Receiving, and Product Development Engineering

Work Environment:


  • May require long periods of sitting, computer work, and meetings.
  • May be required to do lifting of parts <40 pounds.
  • Ability to walk on shop floor as required wearing required PPE (steel toed shoes & safety glasses)
  • 75% Office Based, 25% Remote Work Flexibility
  • 10% Travel (supplier visits)

Salary Range:

$112,800 - $209,400
