About the Position

Your mission is to help our front-line Account Team solve technical issues, provide workarounds, and escalate problems to the Development Team. You will also be helping set up and maintain our production servers. You should feel comfortable handling tickets, learning about software, and communicating with both our support and development teams.

About You 

You will be the first member of our operations team and will have the opportunity to learn from being in close contact with our development team about coding, databases, and systems. This position grows and evolves with you, providing the opportunity to advance into a role where you can work directly with the development team and learn more about software development, cloud environments, and DevOps.

What To Expect In This Position:

• Answering customer tickets elevated by the Account Team 
• Escalate bugs to the development team and track progress 
• Monitor our production systems for problems 
• Troubleshoot and manage mail servers
• Manage data imports and exports with command line utilities
• Monitoring and managing cloud resources in AWS
• Fix technical problems that the Account Team can’t, like troubleshooting printers, investigating email problems, fixing simple HTML issues, and performing back-end data updates for clients 

What Sets You Apart:

• BA/BS degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in support and/or engineering
• Scripting experience in python or related language
• Comfortable communicating technical information to non-technical people
• System administration skills (Security, User Management, Patching, Software/Hardware, Monitoring, Printers). Linux experience is a plus
• System automation skills (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform)
• Great at creating documentation and procedures
• SQL knowledge is a plus
