We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and expand our engineering teams. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and scaling our engineering team and backend systems as we grow our Series A startup. You will oversee a talented team of 10+ engineers, combining technical leadership with hands-on involvement to build a strong, high-performing culture. - Leadership & Strategy:
- Oversee the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in cybersecurity.
- Define and execute the technical strategy, aligning it with Tamnoon's mission to optimize cloud security remediation for our clients.
- Collaborate closely with product, service delivery team, and executive teams to drive product roadmaps and achieve business goals.
- Establish best practices in software development, security, and deployment across cloud platforms.
- Product Development & Optimization:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of secure and scalable cloud-based solutions focused on security remediation.
- Ensure the engineering team is building high-quality products that reduce threat exposure, decrease mean time to resolution, and maximize ROI for clients.
- Identify opportunities for technical and process improvements to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Team Growth & Development:
- Build, mentor, and retain a world-class engineering team focusing on cloud security expertise.
- Establish performance metrics, provide ongoing feedback, and create growth opportunities within the team.
- Drive a learning culture, encouraging continuous skill development and adoption of new technologies.
- Innovation & Industry Best Practices:
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, cloud platform developments, and industry best practices.
- Implement cutting-edge technologies and practices in cloud security to maintain Tamnoon's competitive edge in the market.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify emerging risks and ensure the engineering team is prepared to address evolving security challenges.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (8+ years) in engineering leadership roles, with a strong background in cloud security.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and building secure, scalable cloud-based solutions, preferably in the SaaS or managed service space.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and best practices in cloud security; CNAPP, CSPM.
- Experience leading high-performing, cross-functional teams, with a track record of developing and mentoring engineering talent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in complex technical and business environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud security detection, vulnerability management, and/or threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with automation and AI/ML in security applications.
