TEKsystems is currently seeking a Data Center Technician with 3-5 years of experience for a 1-year contract with potential for extension.• Must have experience with Data Center Inventory Management Tool (Ideally Nlyte), or experience with excel for "cut sheets".Description• Has worked 3 to 5 years in data centers, MDFs and IDFs.• Comfortable working in Excel (Our cut sheets are Excel spreadsheets.) and Outlook.• It would be helpful if person, has worked with Nlyte application. (Nlyte is our DCIM tool.)• Is familiar with cut sheets for installing equipment, rack equipment,• Run fiber and copper patch cables,• Understands importance of labeling devices and cables,• Verify connections are up.• Troubleshoot fiber, cat6 and twinax connections.• Can plan decommissions of equipment and cabling using extracts from Nlyte.SkillsData center, Cable, Racking, Stacking, Hardware, Rack and stack, Cat6, Cat5, Cabling, Infrastructure, DCIM, NlyteTop Skills DetailsData center, Cable, Racking, Stacking, Hardware ,Rack and stack ,Cat6, Cat5, CablingAdditional Skills & Qualifications• Detail oriented and fanatical about organized cable management.• Works well with others.• Well organized and self-motivated to complete tasks assigned.Experience LevelIntermediate LevelWe reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
