RELEASE OF INFORMATION SPECIALISTOnsite - Boston, MACore Experience:• 1+ years of leave of absence experience (administrative work, medical records, ROI, or insurance claims)• good with computers- vetted with at typing test 45WPM +• High School diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred)• Experience with computer systems required• Must have strong customer service experience, strong typing skills.• Must be comfortable submitting to medical screenings post offerA Day in the Role:• This individual will act as the middle man for when someone requests a Leave of Absence for medical reasons.• They will handle all of the forms , documentation, outreach and communications between the LOA Team and the ROI TeamJob Duties:• Responds to inquiries from patients and DFCI clinical and professional staff regarding release of Protected of Health Information (PHI).• Educates requestors on procedures for obtaining medical record information.• Follows up with requestors regarding any delays.• Responds to telephone inquiries from patients, attorneys, insurance companies, and DFCI clinical and professional staff regarding Release of Protected Health Information.• Reviews authorization for completeness. Follows up as necessary.• Returns requests for insufficient information to clinics, patient or requestor when applicable.• Processes urgent requests as required.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
