ELEKS Customer Support Office is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer / L2 Support Engineer in Europe.


ABOUT PROJECT

Our customer is a well-known investment consulting company from the USA that has been providing their services since 1974. We are looking for a person who can do in-place upgrades of Windows Server 2012 to 2019/2025 and communicate/collaborate with the team to upgrade these systems.


REQUIREMENTS
  • 7+ years’ experience in server administration
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 to 2019/2025 administration
  • Experience with SCCM
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Office 365
  • Knowledge of Linux administration will be a plus
  • Practical skills in different OS and software configurations and support will be a plus
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and domain environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation
  • Experience with application compatibility testing
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Experience with VMware, Azure and certificate management (PKI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to effectively explain technical aspects to the staff
  • Upper-intermediate level of English


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing in-place upgrades of Windows Server 
  • Communicating and collaborating with the team to upgrade these systems
  • Ensuring service levels are maintained and tickets are tracked and resolved on time
  • Taking ownership of escalated tickets and resolving them successfully
  • Supporting spillover calls from the first-level queue when the call threshold has been surpassed
  • Handling the weekly rotation of our Knowledge Base article maintenance
  • Take ownership to resolve customer requests in accordance with SLAs and incident management protocols
