This seasonal role offers you the chance to connect with kids aged 5 to 12, igniting their imaginations through creative and engaging reading activities. Imagine yourself teaching a lively group of campers at our Camp Fort Worth or Mobile Recreation Programs while promoting reading skills that are essential for their future academic success. You’ll be actively involved in implementing a structured reading program that focuses on six key areas: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and oral language development. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, includes teaching reading classes, planning interactive sessions, and adapting teaching methods to maximize the kids' learning experiences. With a commitment to working up to 30 hours a week during the summer months, your summer will be filled with laughter and learning.
