School Age Teacher | Greenwood

The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking an After-School & Summer Camp Teacher for our top-rated preschool in Greenwood located at 1104 Grace Street. We are hiring immediately, and would love to meet you!


Pay rate: $14 to $17 per hour
, based on experience & education.

Pay rate is determined by relevant education and experience. Candidates with a high school diploma and limited experience will be paid at the lower end of the range. Candidates with EDU 119 to an associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field may be paid mid-range. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field and applicable experience may be paid at the higher end of the range.

After-School Duties During the School Year:

  • Establish and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support each child’s social and emotional development
  • Establish positive and effective family relations
  • Share with families the important milestones in a child’s day using our app.
  • Pick up children from elementary schools and transport to center in a small bus.


Summer Camp Duties:

  • Plan outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers.
  • Lead recreational and educational activities, such as swimming or crafting.
  • Educate campers through games and explorations.
  • Make sure all safety rules are followed.
  • Safely transport children to/from field trip in small bus.
  • Must be at least 21-years-old with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months of experience working in licensed childcare required.
  • ECD 101 or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Energetic and positive personality.
