Location: Catoosa, OKSalary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD AnnuallyDescription: Our manufacturing client is seeking a Cost Accountant who will be responsible for managing and analyzing production costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. They will calculate and analyze direct labor, material, and production costs, and report variances to management. They will also maintain inventory valuation, conduct physical inventory counts, and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, they will prepare budgets and cost forecasts, generate detailed reports on cost performance, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. You will continuously improve cost accounting processes and collaborate with supply chain, production, and finance teams to support cost-related matters.This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities• * Plans study and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, Inventory, and labor.• Analyzes data obtained and records results.• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.• Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures.• Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports.• Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.• Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.• Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.• Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.• Develops and installs cost accounting system.• Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.Qualifications & Requirements• * A Bachelor’s degree in the Accounting, Business or Finance is required;• Three (3) years of Cost Accounting experience required;• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, and the ability to work on–site.• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.Contact: apatt@judge.comThis job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
