Job Description


As a Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional with The Menta Group, you will be responsible for virtually working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in a virtual classroom. This hybrid position requires intra-state Illinois travel approximately 10% of the time.



90 % Virtual Classroom Support with 10% Reimbursed Travel 

7 1/2 hour Work Day w/Hours between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., based on student needs

10 Month School Calendar: Benefit Options & Generous Paid Benefit Time Off!

On-Going employment; return school year after school year



Responsibilities
  • Virtual Substitute Teaching, all subjects (Middle through HS)
  • Provide virtual academic support in a virtual classroom setting; group and individual support as needed
  • Substitute Teach in a virtual classroom setting
  • Virtually manage classroom behaviors
  • Grading student assignments/projects
  • Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff
  • Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
  • TRAVEL, PROVIDING STUDENT RESOURCE SUPPORT (approximately 10% of Job)
  • Compensated Travel, using personal vehicle (reimbursed for miles, tolls) to deliver student materials such as electronic devices, project materials, books, and other materials to student homes. Travel is Intra-State Illinois.
  • Visit student homes on an occasional, case-by-case basis to address truancy or other academic concerns.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) is required in order to possess a Substitute Teacher Certification
  • Substitute teaching experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to operate tactfully under stress
  • Flexibility to change in routines
  • At least 23 years of age
  • Ability to travel (reimbursed) using personal vehicle for approximately 10% of the job
