 Job Description


As a Virtual Recruiter at The Menta Education Group you will remotely source and present viable employment candidates to hiring managers and follow through with candidate resolution. This is a newly-created position constructed to meet the needs of our growing organization. The Menta Education Group is over 1000 employees strong!The Menta Group is a not-for-profit, multi-state organization that provides special education to students aged PK-21. 


Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to critical problems in education and human services.  Our schools provide the social-emotional learning environments that students need to thrive! What we believe: In 1973 we were founded on the notion that  “Every child has the right to be in school.” 





Responsibilities
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Source and recruit candidates by using job boards, databases, social media etc.
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Conduct phone screens 
  • Schedule interviews
  • Onboard new employees
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process


Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of talent acquisition experience, ideally in education or a similar field
  • Knowledge of contemporary recruiting practices
  • Knowledge of compliance in the employment recruiting industry
  • A strong desire for results in acquiring best talent 
  • Familiarity with aggregate and non-aggregate job boards

Menta’s collaborative process with various school and community stakeholders has resulted in programs designed to educate, support, challenge, empower and celebrate students who present with a range of academic, social and emotional needs.  At the beginning of a student’s experience with Menta, a collaborative meeting is held that includes the student, significant people in their lives, Menta staff and other professionals as appropriate.  During that meeting, a comprehensive assessment of the student’s past, present and future desires is used to establish a student centered plan (MAP) that serves as a foundation of the student’s Menta programming.   A guiding principle of Menta is ‘we do not give up’, while also holding our students and staff to high expectations. The educational offerings at a Menta program provides students with a quality education that is designed to nurture and enhance the skills and maturity needed to meet the challenges of being productive adults and citizens in a rapidly changing 21st century world.
