Success for the team is not just about filling roles but about aligning with the university's vision and contributing to its overall excellence.Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition of Executive Recruitment, the Executive Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a member of the Executive Talent Acquisition team within the Office of Human Resources.The role of Executive Talent Acquisition Specialist is a key member of the team and responsible for fostering the growth and development of the Executive Talent team. The role focuses on cultivating an effective and dynamic partnership that aligns seamlessly with the mission, vision, and shared values of the university. This individual is responsible for providing comprehensive recruiting support for the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Executive Talent Acquisition team with a sharp focus on executive recruitment; contributing to a best-in-class candidate experience for executive-level searches; communicating and collaborating with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders; and facilitating a highly organized and thorough search process with special attention to building strong relationships and logistics.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of this role include:• (40%) This individual is responsible for providing comprehensive recruiting support for the Executive Talent Acquisition team with a sharp focus on executive recruitment through excellent project management skills. A major component of this position includes providing premium service while arranging interview logistics, such as travel coordination, calendaring, and itinerary/agenda creation.• (25%) The candidate must have a strong executive presence. This position is responsible for candidate care, including assisting candidates throughout the recruitment process. This position interacts with and coordinates logistics for executive-level candidates (generally, AVP roles and above, including Deans) and serves as the liaison with search firm consultants to ensure proper communication with candidates. This role serves as the on-campus point of contact for candidates visiting Columbus; ensures itineraries are accurate and that all parties are aware of applicable logistics and have all necessary materials; and gathers feedback documentation from interviewers to share with the hiring manager(s).• (20%) Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.This individual communicates and collaborates with a wide variety of university members both inside and outside of Talent Acquisition including Board of Trustee members, Office of the President, Office of the Provost, senior leaders, faculty, staff, as well as internal and external candidates.• (10%) The Executive Talent Acquisition Specialist is expected to have excellent follow-through and the ability to readily adapt to different priorities and people. This position will apply strong communication and customer service skills with a white glove service-oriented mindset. Ultimately, this individual will be proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented and act with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. This position performs daily activities such as correspondence to various audiences, administrative support, team meeting coordination, and miscellaneous duties, along with various departmental responsibilities including facilitating team retreats and events, creating/ordering executive candidate gift items, and providing additional support to the department.• (5%) This position is the primary coordinator for additional searches, as necessary; responsible for internal and external communications and partnering with others to ensure a positive candidate experience both traveling to campus and while visiting campus; responsible for Board of Trustees material for current executive searches; responsible for reconciling the department credit card transactions for the team and processing reimbursements for candidates; expected to provide event planning and social media support as the department determines new marketing strategies and initiatives and ensure appropriate technology is in place.RequiredRequired Education and Experience• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience• Four years of relevant experienceDesired• Four to eight years of relevant experience preferred, including managing calendars and itinerary and/or agenda creation• Experience with Ohio State travel systems• Experience with an applicant tracking system and Workday• Experience with social media tools• Experience conducting phone screens, interviews, and reference checks• Microsoft Office Suite• Experience coordinating travel and logistics• Experience building relationships with a workforce with a broad range of backgrounds and perspective• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong follow-through skillsThe Ohio State UniversityFounded in 1870 as a land-grant university, The Ohio State University is one of the nation’s finest higher education institutions, with annual research expenditures of over $1 billion.
