Financial Accounting Manager, External ReportingThe Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the consolidated close process and related activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the related TJX Consolidated Financial Documents. The Financial Accounting Manager is also responsible for the hiring and supervision and development for a team of accountants and communicating and providing analysis of the financial statements.• Manage the development and provide mentorship and training to 2 -3 Financial Accountants. Delegates work and assignments.• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and complex accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of Consolidated Financial Statements• Review and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements, supporting schedules/disclosures and SEC reporting filings – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Equity, Comprehensive Income, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc. with a focus on accuracy and timeliness and conformity with US GAAP• Ensure control environment and SOX controls are maintained• Own the oversight of special projects, management presentations and Ad Hoc requests• Independently lead the accounting team in meetings with business partners on accounting matters• Identify & implement opportunities for operational improvement & efficiencies• Research, interpret and implement new and recently issued accounting standards and update existing accounting policies• Review benefit plan financial statement preparation and related audits• Lead discussions with Internal and External auditors with related auditsWho We Are Looking For: You.• Minimal 4-6 years Accounting, Audit or Finance experience• Supervisor Experience (1 to 2+ Years Preferred)• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent• CPA/MBA a plus• Public Accounting a plus• Technical accounting and strong understanding of GAAP (public/private or mix)• Excellent interpersonal / relationships skills / Strong communication skills (verbal and written)• Proven track record to delegate and lead team to accomplish business goals, Ability to assess and develop talent• Organizational and time management skills• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize optimally, with consideration of broader team goals• Experience leading presentations to senior management• Adaptable, dynamic problem solver with solutioning skills• Shown proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications• Exposure to Workiva and OneStream reporting a plus• Project management experienceWe care about our culture, but we also prioritize your needs!Benefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long term disability; paid holidays/vacation/sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; childcare/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses. Contact your TJX representative for more information.This position has a starting salary range of $99,600 to $129,600 per year.Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
