The Ticket Services Associate position (part-time WAGE/20-25 hours per week) performs customer service, sales and administrative duties in a focused effort to maximize ticket sales revenue and increase attendance to athletic-related events.
We're looking for motivated candidates with a drive to learn and provide the best possible customer service to the many individuals the Ticket Office serves. On a daily basis, Ticket Office employees interact with a diverse group of customers which include donors, season ticket holders, alumni, University staff, students, student-athletes, members of the Charlottesville community, and fans from all over the country. Our staff works with these individuals through a variety of channels, including answering inbound phone calls, making outbound sales and reminder calls, answering emails, responding to online chat requests, processing mail orders, handling customer issues in person at the Ticket Office windows, and other duties as assigned. In doing so, the Ticket Office works to achieve the stated goal of the Department of Athletics: Uncompromised Excellence.
This is a part-time position with work shifts scheduled during regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm). Varied hours may include some weekend and evening hours for event purposes. Preference will be given to candidates available to work all home football games (September-November, usually Saturdays), most men's basketball games (November-March), and other events as needed.
Position compensation is $15/hr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous customer service experience is preferred, and comfortability with basic computer functions.
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
