Graduate Engineer, Transportation / Traffic

As a member of our team, you work alongside a group of engineers, designers, and technicians who have established a reputation for generating safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for the Department of Transportation, local agencies, and design-build contractors.


You will be responsible for observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software. You will also be responsible for preparing preliminary and final designs and developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping. 


For this opportunity, we are seeking a qualified candidate who currently resides or plans to relocate within a regular commuting distance of our office.

Hybrid Work Environment: Graduate Engineers are encouraged to work in-office 4 days a week while getting started. Once comfortable and successfully managing week to week expectations, enjoy a flexible 3/2 hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) to balance work and life.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering
  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of transportation and/or related traffic study and plan development experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
  • Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM


$74,105 - $89,505 a year
The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 2-5 years of related experience. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
