Any travel would be related to site visits or community meetings within the Duluth and northland area.
Flexible work arrangement (3 days in office / 2 days WFH)
Responsibilities- Manage Roadway & Utilities / Municipal projects.
- Lead projects to improve the infrastructure of MN communities.
- Optimize planning, design, and construction activities to control costs and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the Civil Group Manager, Market Managers, and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering.
- Contribute to the development of marketing plans.
- Cultivate and maintain relations with clients and agency representatives.
- Track prospective opportunities.
- Deliver client presentations.
- Travel for site visits or community meetings within the Duluth and northland area.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
- 5 -10 years of related experience supporting design and inspection for roadways, highways, sidewalks, utilities and/or other municipal projects.
- Strong working knowledge of the project development process including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, and knowledge of the permit application process with FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state / local government entities.
- Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D used to develop concept plans, grading plans, and designs.
- Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills when developing proposals, negotiating project contracts, preparing technical reports, leading project team meetings, and delivering client presentations.
- Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reviews for civil projects.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications- Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa.
- Experience in utilities coordination related to design, location verification and relocation.
