About The Role
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all logistics activities associated with inbound transportation, warehouse fulfillment, outbound shipments according to wholesale customers’ VAS requirements.
This includes tracking of all inbound shipments from all suppliers to TOMS third Party Distribution Center in EMEA; determining/coordinating/ monitoring 3PL fulfillment center activities and performance.
This position ensures that effective logistics performance is met, quality and cost expectations are tracked, and will contribute to the investigation and timely response to inquiries related to distribution and transportation. As well as continuously looking for developing and implementing strategies and processes that improve efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Inbound
• Manage and monitor inbound process from the factories to EMEA 3PL
• Main point of contact for all incoming Freight queries and investigations
• Managing all delivery schedules with logistics suppliers from port to final destination
• Monitor all electronic data transfers that provide advance shipping notifications for accuracy and where necessary adjust delivery dates to reflect accurate delivery schedules
• Plan, develop and manage accurate reports about inbound track, delivery schedules based on specific requirements, forecast, freight costs and costs per unit
• Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure transparency on costs and processes
• Developing and implementing strategies that improve efficiency and reduce costs
Direct shipments
• Monitor all direct Shipments from our Asia factories directly to the TOMS EMEA distributors
• Manage all requirements for existing customers
• Responsible for set up new customers and their requirements
• Main point of contact for direct shipments between customers and TOMS EMEA
Administer Order Management at EMEA Distribution Centers (3PL)
• Control and check of Inbound, inventory and outbound EDI messages between SAP and WMS, error management
Inbound Transport Management
• Accountmanager for outsourced inbound freight carriers from port to EMEA 3PL
• Manage carrier reports and invoicing
VAS
• Facilitate TOMS (new) customer VAS requirements
Logistics Process Improvement
• Provide or lead project development support to multiple departments within TOMS that have logistics requirements. Communicate standard operating procedures, communication protocols and tracking of projects.
• Assist with the development of Logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Assist with end of year audit
• Coach and train new starters
What You’ll Bring
• Demonstrated skill in business planning and inventory management
• Strong understanding of typical footwear and apparel business channels
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills. Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented and extremely accurate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of management (including upper management) in a professional manner
• Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints, multitask and prioritize on projects and deliver results by critical deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and SAP AFS
• Ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports for all levels of staff
• Ability to develop new procedures, polices and reporting tools to simplify and improve operations
Requirements
• Expertise in business planning, S&OP process
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in distribution, with preferably 1 years of management experience
• Preferred degree in business / technical area or similar level of experience
