Profil du candidatIdeal Candidate Profile:• M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Energy Economics, Data Science or Machine Learning• Minimum of 10 years of Power sector experience; 12+ years working overall.• Familiarity and experience with all major US electricity markets (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, NYISO, SPP, MISO, NE-ISO)• Detailed understanding of breakdown of ERCOT energy production and load forecasts.• Familiarity with grid modelization software (e.g. PLEXOS, PowerWorld, etc.)• Deep understanding of production cost models, power flow models, and capacity expansion.• Experience with building software tools using product development best practices, managing people (including remote workforce), managing large scale (cross-department) development efforts.• Understanding of the implementation timeline of regulatory rulings.• Familiarity with the regulatory proceedings and governing bodies in the major electricity markets and nationally & d ata science methods for analyzing large data sets.• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.• Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to work in a diverse and multidisciplinary research team.• Fluent English.• Working knowledge of French (optional).ActivitésIn this role you will o perate within the Group’s Quality and HSE standards as relevant to the project while promote HSE initiatives and ensure a strong awareness to HSE matters across the team. Other responsibilities include:• Supervise in existing or future R&D collaborations with national labs, academic institutions, consulting firms, or industrial companies.• Propose, manage and develop projects for their team, aligned with R&D planning and budget.• Participate in team member selection (internal, external, interns) and supervise the team for their assigned projects.• Actively contribute to project technical development and management.• Contribute to strategy for R&D Projects: technical and scientific content.• Ensure a functional and efficient coordination of a multidisciplinary project team located on several sites.• Present and promote technical achievements to internal stakeholders during annual technical reviews at a high level (VP RD, CTO).• Validate the project directions through Steering Committees.• Contribute to adjacent R&D developments by offering a broad technological perspective.• Stay abreast of relevant technological developments and understand the Group’s position with respect to its competitors.• Play an active part in budgeting and program extension to new areas of research.• Contribute to the identification of new technological frontiers and challenges in the project.
