Your Role: What you'll be doing

  • Deliver electrical/mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and safety training programs for all levels of personnel supporting Productions Operations.
  • Use instructional design methods to update and/or develop instructional materials to include presentations, lesson plans, outlines, exercises, interactions, quick guides, on-the-job training packages, tests, and visual aids, as well as criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Create e-learning courses with authoring tool(s) for online course development (i.e. Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, or other).
  • Collaborate with peers to cross-train and develop/maintain course material.
  • Collaborate with ULA Safety, Health & Environmental, and Material & Process Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and/or maintain course material to meet current regulations and documented requirements.
  • Complete rosters and update training events in ULA Learning System.
  • Conduct evaluations for training needs analysis and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with peer instructors to develop in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
  • Ability to work independently when required.
  • Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Requires full-time presence in the Decatur office to provide instructional services to ULA employees. Occasional travel may be required and support different shifts.

Your Background: What education and experience you'll need

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 - 6 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • 1 year experience with electrical/mechanical assembly and manufacturing
  • Instructional facilitation and proctoring are desired
  • Safety and technical skill course instructional design and needs analysis
  • Strong collaboration, time management, and prioritization skills
