Release Cycle Management: Act as the primary manager responsible for coordinating both client-side (iOS) and backend releases, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery.
Team Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor the engineering team, providing high-level direction while also being ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute code when necessary.
Strategic Planning & Ticketing: Digest product specs from product/design, break them down into actionable tickets, assign tasks, and manage resources to ensure a smooth release process.
Catch All: Primary point of contact for the day to day management of software engineering related tasks, triaging and allocating resources as per conversations with product.
Engineering Leadership: Experience managing both client (iOS) and backend teams, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products with small, agile teams.
Attention to Detail: You’ll be the key person ensuring the quality of every release, guaranteeing that both iOS and backend components are polished and functioning smoothly. You need to deeply understand how the product operates, how a feature should operate, and ensure the full delivery of the feature from the team.
Resource Allocation & Estimation: Exceptional skill in resource management and intuitive timeline estimation, with the ability to balance priorities and optimize workflows for both frontend and backend development.
Leadership: You’ll have the opportunity to lead both the iOS and backend engineering teams, driving the success of a popular app.
Work with a Talented Team: Collaborate with a small, sharp team of engineers who operate with autonomy and a bias for action.
Own the Full Release Cycle: Take ownership of the entire release process for a high-traffic app, ensuring both the client and backend systems are released with precision.
