Construction Field Safety Manager

Triumph Construction, a premier construction company based in the Bronx, New York, specializes in delivering high-quality projects across the five boroughs of NYC. Our clients include notable organizations such as the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, New York City Design and Construction, The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Economic Development Corporation, Con Edison, and other public and private entities.

We are seeking a Construction Field Safety Manager to join our team and ensure the highest safety standards on our job sites.

  • Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Site-Specific Health & Safety Plans.
  • Document audit findings and upload relevant pictures into Triumph's safety platform using an iPad.
  • Identify existing and potential safety exposures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead weekly toolbox talks and provide on-the-job training (OJT) as required.
  • Conduct accident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and assist the Safety Director in identifying root causes to develop preventative training programs.
  • Coordinate and deliver specialty training sessions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance when working with NYC agencies such as The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of construction field safety experience.
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with NYC MTA projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Certifications

Candidates must hold or be certified in the following:

  • CHST (or equivalent construction safety certification by exam).
  • OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer certification.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Flagger Instructor certification (NSC or ATSSA).
  • NYC FD COF-F60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations certification.
  • 62-hour SST Supervisor certification.
  • NYCT Right of Way (“ROW”) certification.
  • Track Safety Training for NYCT.
  • DOT Hazardous Waste Material certification.
  • NYC DOB 32-hour Supported Scaffold User certification.

  • Monthly Car Allowance: $600 per month, payable the first week of each month, covering vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and insurance costs for business travel.
