Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas School of Law is pleased to announce that it is currently seeking applicants for a 9-month, 100% appointed, tenure/tenure track assistant, associate or full professor (based on qualifications) starting in the 2025-2026 academic year to teach the Criminal Practice Clinic. A successful applicant must be willing to teach in person.

The incumbent will be expected to teach the Criminal Practice Clinic each semester. The responsibilities include supervision of student work, teaching the weekly clinic seminar, and managing the clinic’s docket. At least one (1) year of clinical teaching experience is strongly preferred. Must be a licensed attorney eligible to practice law in the state.

A candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and a commitment to teaching in an environment dedicated to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students. We look for innovative faculty with a preference for both practice and teaching experience. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service to legal education and to the wider community as well as a desire to engage in the intellectual life of the University.
