Ullico Inc., is actively recruiting a changes Sr. Treasury Management Technician for our Finance Department located in our Silver Spring, MD office. The job duties are as follows
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Incumbent may perform any or all of the following duties:- Process checks daily
- - Compare printed checks to associated check registers to confirm that all requested checks have printed at least twice a week.
- - Perform special check runs within a timely manner.
- - Download and attach supporting documents.
- - Obtain signatures from authorized signers.
- - Send checks to requestors by mail or interoffice.
- - Maintain and file check support paperwork. Scan and save on network drives.
- - Responsible for managing checks from twelve disbursement accounts across multiple companies and banks, and printed from multiple different software systems.
- - Research checks with banks, TPAs, and BUs to determine their status, if they have cleared or are outstanding, status of stop payments, voids, fraud and unidentified checks.
- - Ensure check decisions are properly reflected in internal systems and bank reports.
- - Accurately and timely communicate with banks so that fraudulent items are not paid.
- - Resolve and use independent judgement regarding problem issues with printing, distributing, and depositing checks.
- - Assume responsibility for the check processing of a TPA whose workload has been transferred in-house while maintaining the same level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Process check deposits using the bank’s Remote Check Deposit service. Reconcile and release wire and ACH deposits for all entities, tracing from the daily bank reports to the ledger. Release them in Lawson CB-20 same day.
- Process stop payments and voids for checks.
- Review positive pay reports. Print and compare to available check registers to inspect items before bank deadlines. Contact Third Party Administrators to confirm whether or not checks are good. Work with business units to investigate items
- Run bank transaction reports daily from various on-line bank systems and save onto designated network folders for use by Treasury and other departments.
- Assist with processing wires. Verify wire instructions and authorizations. Input wire information into bank software platform. Provide wire confirmations.
- Responsible for communicating with the bank daily for ACH control total files sent.
- Resolve emails in the treasury@ullico.com inbox that pertain to this job’s primary responsibilities. Assist with daily monitoring of this inbox.
- Provide documentation for SOX and other audit requests.
- Train lower level staff.
- Carry company issued cell phone and laptop, and be on call when needed. Be available holidays, half days, snow days, etc. when the company is closed but banks are open and come into the office on an ad hoc and emergency basis with short notice.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:- High School Diploma or equivalent required; two years of related college level courses preferred.
- Over two years’ accounting and office experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows, Excel and Lawson preferred.
- Must pass company math test.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Incumbent must be able to, with reasonable accommodation:- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Type for more than 80% of the day.
- View computer screen for more than 80% of day.
$60,000 - $76,000 a year
Depending on relevant experience, skills, and credentials. This position is eligible to participate in Ullico Inc.’s (“Ullico”) annual incentive compensation program. An incentive award is contingent upon Ullico meeting financial goals set by the Ullico Board of Directors and your individual performance. The elements of the program, including eligibility, the range of potential incentive compensation, and the factors that determine the payment, will be shared with you after you become employed.
