As our Nurse Educator at Dignity Health YRMC  you will develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff. In this role, you will enhance clinical competency, promote professional growth, and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care. Our Nurse Educator collaborates with nursing leadership to assess educational needs, design curricula, and provide ongoing support to nursing teams.

  • Collaborates with department leaders in the identification and development of initial and on-going competencies.
  • Creates and documents education plans in partnership with leadership team to meet strategic and operational initiatives of the organization.
  • Develops and facilitates continuing education (CE) programs as a member of the Dignity Health Arizona Region Provider Unit in collaboration with the Primary Nurse Planner and Lead planners.
  • Serves as a resource for clinical student experiences.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 

 

  • BSN required 
  • 5 years clinical practice in area of specialty required 
  • Arizona or compact state RN license 
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support 

Preferred 

 

  • Masters degree preferred 
  • Specialty certification and/or 2 years teaching preferred 
  • Experience with spreadsheets databases graphics applications preferred
