UC’s annual budget stands at $1.85 billion, and its endowment totals nearly $1.8 billion.Job OverviewPlan, perform, evaluate, and coordinate research on electrochemical biosensors. The biosensors are based on electrochemical aptamers. The biosensors are being developed to create continuous molecular monitoring devices similar to wearable glucose monitors but for measuring other chronic disease analytes beyond glucose. While the work is performed at the University of Cincinnati, it involves collaboration with the U.S. Air Force, and several commercial partners in the diagnostic devices industry.Essential Functions• Fabricate, test, and analyze data related to electrochemical aptamer sensors.• Develop process windows for sensor fabrication to create maximum sensor reproducibility (precision and accuracy).• Assist with the coordination of laboratory projects.• Summarize test results; respond to concrete project/study questions.• Assist with or may work independently on whole projects/problems.
