This position will be responsible for producing a variety of content for online and print materials for a number of audiences, such as students, faculty, staff, campus IT partners, system functional owners, and EITS employees. The content may include, but is not limited to, marketing materials, student guides, faculty guides, newsletters, press releases, website stories, and instructional technical guides. In addition, this position will serve a key role in the planning, implementation and communications of EITS events, such as orientation, the Computer Health and Security Fair, and the State of IT presentations.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesExcellent writing skills.Write and edit articles for publication.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Work under extremely limited supervision.Use independent judgment.Use discretion with confidential information.Collaborate with team members in cross-functional teams.Experience with social mediaPhysical DemandsNormal office environment.Is driving a responsibility of this position? Ensure consistent branding of EITS materials. Provide general oversight and input for outreach efforts which various EITS departments may participate in. Ensure common branding and marketing material is utilized. Review documentation and information to be distributed for standard look and feel.Percentage of time 40 Duties/ResponsibilitiesContributes to communications efforts for IT projects, including assisting with communication plans. Responsibilities may include drafting web and print materials, such as press releases, stories for EITS website, participation in collaboration meetings with partners, and affected users, drafting presentations, and drafting other communication materials to targeted audiences. Scope of work will also include marketing and branding of new and existing services to target audiences.Percentage of time 20 Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupports updates to the EITS website. Ensure information on the site is current and accurate. Co-manages social medial channels.
