Research Program Coordinator

Job Summary:This position will plan and coordinate work of a NIH funded benign urology research program, including coordination with 15 academic research programs in the CAIRIBU consortium (Collaborating for the Advancement of Interdisciplinary Research in Benign Urology). This work seeks to improve our understanding of the mechanisms of urogenital diseases and develop clinical therapies for treating them by building collaborative and interactive research platforms that span the gamut from basic to translational to population research.Responsibilities:Plans and coordinates the administrative, operational, outreach and promotional activities related to research studies that may be collaborative and independent. Serves as a subject matter expert.• 15% Coordinates the daily activities and contracts related to one or more research program(s)• 15% Assists in the development, coordination, and facilitation of trainings and workshops for internal and external audiences to disseminate research program developments and information• 10% Plans, develops, and implements processes and protocols to support research aims• 20% Serves as a unit liaison and subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholder groups, collaborates across disciplines and functional areas, provides program information, and promotes the accomplishments and developments of scholars and research initiatives• 5% Monitors program budget(s) and approves unit expenditures• 15% Develops policies, procedures, and institutional agreements on behalf of the program• 15% Develops and executes a comprehensive program evaluation scheme for systematically collecting and analyzing data about program's activities, outcomes, and characteristics• 5% Develops a reporting structure for regularly disseminating program evaluation results to PI and other stakeholdersInstitutional Statement on Diversity:Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
