We are looking for a skilled part-time Jira Project Manager to join our Web Development team. As a Jira Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects within our team, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. Your main duties will include creating and maintaining project plans, assigning tasks to team members, tracking progress, and communicating project updates to stakeholders.
We're a new company, recently formed from a spinoff after 13 years from our parent company. We have roughly a dozen clients --most of which have been clients for 5-10yrs for whom we manage their websites, web apps, portals, etc. Most of your job will be receiving their requests and creating tickets that our developers can understand and complete without any additional information needed. For projects, you'll gather the needed requirements & assets, create the project plan and schedule & track the work to completion.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of Jira software and project management principles. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Skills needed:
- Proficient in Jira
- Project management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to do light QA on our work (compare the requirements with the final product before sharing with client)
- Strong email communication (respond to client requests, gain clarification & provide updates)
- Ability to recognize opportunities to upsell and make recommendations for additional work
This is an ongoing need, with starting hours of ~4-6hrs per week and growing as we scale (and potentially more hours needed when we have larger projects). Ultimately we'd like to be able to provide you with 30+ hours per week.
To give you a heads up, we do have several larger projects on the horizon that will require some advanced planning, so the hours may pick up quite quickly over the next couple months
