This role will create, develop, and execute marketing priorities and marketing efforts in collaboration with key stakeholders across marketing, sales, local business entities and external partners/agencies. Responsible for researching, identifying, developing, planning, and supporting the execution of integrated marketing activations in alignment with the overall brand strategy. This role leads target market planning, marketing strategy execution and end-to-end integrated target market marketing. This leader works in collaboration with the extended brand management team, marketing team, local sales leaders, operational support teams, engineering and inter agency teams (IAT) to drive brand awareness, consideration, lead generation, consumer/customer engagement, store traffic and conversion.

This is a mid-level marketing role with a primary focus on operating in the middle of the consumer journey (mid funnel) with a goal of increasing brand consideration and interest by activating the UScellular brand at a national (online/digital/PR/media/social) and local (community engagement) level for a specific geographic area/region. This position is responsible for identifying marketing objectives to create plans and customized programs by analyzing market data, insights, and local nuances to plan, communicate, and activate in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a strategic role in developing and implementing initiatives and guiding marketing activities across various channels, thus a strong marketing skillset and business acumen in creative/critical thinking is required. This role serves as the visionary and leads execution/analysis of major brand programs, campaigns, and events for the region and the company. This position requires strong personal commitment, curiosity, and courage to share perspectives and to stay updated on industry trends to foster innovation to drive the organization's competitive advantage.

  • Develop and execute target market marketing strategies and programs that drive awareness, consideration, lead generation, store traffic, sales and positive brand exposure.
  • Work with agencies to maximize and optimize programming effectiveness.
  • Write vendor/agency RFP's, negotiate contracts and statements of work in collaboration with procurement and legal to ensure brand and regulatory compliance of all programming.
  • Serve as business owner and primary point of contact for agency and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Influence the development and support of the tools, resources and systems needed to effectively execute, analyze, improve, and simplify market-based programs and campaigns.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and third-party agencies/vendors to ensure all program concepts, resources, staffing, media, and other required assets are in alignment for the successful execution of brand partnerships and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross functional key stakeholders to ensure alignment with our overarching brand strategy/campaigns while achieving local market objectives.
  • Provide local market literacy and intelligence to develop meaningful and relevant integrated marketing strategies and localized plans designed to drive key brand and business metrics.
  • Develop mid-funnel content and customized marketing strategies, local advertising plans and media sponsorships to drive lead generation, store traffic, sales and brand consideration and interest.
  • Manage marketing and advertising budgets that drive profitable results per localized P&L and ROC expectations.
  • Empower and influence key stakeholders (i.e., sales teams) to engage in their local communities, providing insight and inspiration.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships for local partnerships, local activations, and other programming in alignment with brand marketing strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience
  • 2-3 years of advertising and integrated marketing experience.
  • 4-5 years of local marketing, sponsorship and planning experience.
  • Proven experience in negotiating local partnerships, co-marketing opportunities, and agent marketing.
  • Proven experience managing financial budgets and influencing local market spend.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Display passion and excitement for serving customers.
  • Leadership and initiative to drive business objectives
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), influencing and interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities. Ability to work with various groups both internal and external.
  • Solid understanding of analytics, measuring and interpreting key campaign metrics.
  • High level proficiency with MS Office applications, CRM, calendar management tools, analytics and campaign tracking tools.
  • Travels as required (between 15%-40% depending on geography and market needs, with majority of travel to be spent visiting brand activations within the market.)

Salary rang $74,800-$112,934
